Welcome!

My name is Maddy Maes and I am a photographer and editor. I have been doing freelance photography professionally since 2018 and love shooting portraits and events. As the photo editor for the DePaulia in Fall 2021 I won first place for best sports photograph at the ICPA awards. My work for the DePaulia developed my interest in photojournalism and sports photography in particular. My goal in photography is to capture the best, most authentic moments so that they can be remembered and cherished for years to come.

 

I have been studying film editing at DePaul University for 3 years as my minor and I have loved every minute of it. Through my projects at school I have quickened and smoothed out my workflow and I am looking forward to improving with every project I am a part of.
